Product designing means changing the product features or totally redesigning the product from the core. Sometimes product designing is done to update the previous models. Sometimes product designing is done to add new features in the previous model. Companies like Samsung and Apple change their product every year. They sometimes totally redesign the product or sometimes they only change their few features. But from developing, designing and marketing are done from the scratch. Sometimes new designs don’t sit well with the old technology. Even software updates don’t sit well with the previous generation that is why the team has to go through the test phase of design and develop.

The new product which is going to introduce to the market has a new aim and technology for the users to use it. A consumer might get bored of using the previous product or they might damage it. They would always opt for new and improved design rather than using the old one. They would change the product brand if there is no change in the product line features. No one invests their money in the product that has same old features. Sometimes new product which is being introduced offers groundbreaking changes in the field. For the customer, such changes can give value for their money they would always opt for it.

Such things always increase the company revenue keeps it going. If the previous product is not improving then the customer would eventually move to different brands. This would kill the company name and value in the market.

• Society adapts to the changes

Many times company often works on smallest of the details and release it as the new update in the market. These little details sometimes could be drastic changes or can be the solution to the problem that was affecting the productivity of the previous models. As the new models are being released people will buy them because it is, after all, providing a better feature. This will add up to the revenue of the company. Many companies which were going down the hill on the revenue graph has risen up again and performing even better than their previous generation due to their new design technology methods adopted. Sometimes few changes in the technology mean a decade of change in the thinking of the society. At first, there used to be the only telephone no there are cell phones.

This totally changed the thinking of the society. Then cellphone moved to the smartphones now everything is in the palm of the hand. Although these technological changes took around 20 plus years they were effective. A smartphone idea and thinking was due to designing technology.
